We’re proud that Dagbladet and the health magazine Din Øyehelse have chosen to highlight Mokki in their national feature on eye health. For us, it’s a recognition of the mission we work on every single day: protecting children’s eyes from the very start of life.
At Mokki, we believe eye health starts from day one. While many parents are careful to protect their own eyes with sunglasses, children are often exposed to just as much – if not more – harmful sunlight, especially in the stroller where low autumn and winter sun hits directly into their eyes.
Children’s eyes are still developing. Their lenses are clearer and their pupils larger, which means more UV and HEV light can reach deep into the eye at a vulnerable age. Good sun protection early in life is therefore not just about comfort here and now – it’s about safeguarding vision for decades to come.
A Norwegian Innovation for the World
To meet this need, we developed Mokki Click & Change, the first modular eyewear system for children. Each pair comes with two sets of lenses, designed for different situations:

Everyday UV420 BlueBlock – for daily protection, blocking UV and harmful blue light up to 420 nm (20 nm more than standard sunglasses).

Active Polarized UV400 – for bright conditions with strong reflections from water, snow, or sand.
With flexible frames, adjustable headbands, side shields, and temple tips, Click & Change adapts to every activity – from playground fun to a day on the ski slopes.
This unique approach has already earned international recognition, including Red Dot Design Award and the Mido Award in Milan. It’s even exhibited at the British Optical Association Museum – a rare honor in eyewear history.
